At a glance

Brian Maleham, the owner and founder of BDM Solutions Ltd, has a proven record of accomplishment in both sales and sales leadership.

He provides sales & service training solutions together with associated consulting and coaching services to help his clients achieve their desired business outcomes. Brian works with his client to choose the right solution to address their needs and can call on Intellectual Property from some of the most respected brands in the industry such as Miller Heiman Group where he is an approved Consulting Partner and registered Independent Sales Consultant.

Brian has over 25 years experience in the IT and communications industry and his career started in engineering, sponsored to attend Brunel University where he achieved an honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. His inquisitive and innovative mind soon steered him towards a consultative sales role at Anite Networks(formerly Case), the UK’s leading provider of communication systems at that time. Brian went on to sell multimillion pound managed services deals in both the public and private sectors in new business and account management roles.

In 2004 Brian set up BDM Solutions Ltd, his own sales consulting practice, winning contracts with large and small organisations. This included a contract with Cable & Wireless to work with McKinsey and Co, consulting on a large sales transformation project for their UK business.

In 2009 he was appointed Regional Sales Director at Cable & Wireless and was responsible for growing revenues to more than £100Mpa and it was here that he was first introduced to Miller Heiman Group methodologies. Brian drove the adoption of Miller Heiman Strategic Selling across his region driving a formal coaching process which led to improved win rates and rapid revenue growth.

Brian went on to lead sales teams in the Large Enterprise division of Vodafone UK before returning to his own consulting practice early in 2016. Here he follows his passion for both selling and coaching others to reach their maximum potential.
